About The Truesdell Room

Named in honor of Dorothy (Dort) Mollett’s beloved father, Charles Ward Truesdell (1914-1992). Charles was born in Norwich, New York, and spent most of his professional life with Western Electric until he moved to Surfside Beach, South Carolina with his wife Evangeline (1918-2015).

The Truesdell Room in Witherow House, on the first floor, offers a king-size feather bed, gas fireplace, and a jetted tub/shower combination for relaxation. A porch provides a mansion view, enhancing the serene ambiance. The room also connects to a common area with a living room and mini fridge, for a shared atmosphere among guests.
