About The Clabaugh Room

This room pays homage to George Washington Clabaugh, who purchased the property in 1837. The legacy continued with his son, Harry Morris Clabaugh, who achieved significant milestones as the Attorney General of Maryland and later as a Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, appointed by President Roosevelt in 1903.

The Clabaugh Room at our at Taneytown, MD hotel features a king four-poster feather bed, a modern walk-in shower, and a wood-burning fireplace, perfect for cozy evenings. Overlooking the garden, guests can enjoy serene views in a peaceful ambiance.
