About The Burch Room

Named in honor of Phyllis Ann Burch (1920-2001), Richard Mollett’s mother. She was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, and was one of seven children. Phyllis married John Mollett in 1944 and had four children; Penny, Burch, Tudor, and Richard. She loved antiques and was an accomplished travel agent, starting Mollett Travel in Cross Keys, near Baltimore, Maryland.

The Burch Room in the Witherow House at our Taneytown hotel boasts a king feather bed, jetted tub with shower, gas fireplace, and a deck with a mansion view on the second floor. It accommodates up to two adults and offers a shared living area with a mini fridge for guests.
