Located on the second floor of the Mansion at our Taneytown, MD bed and breakfast, The Boyd Room encapsulates a blend of elegance and historical allure. Upon opening Antrim, The Molletts acquired a beautiful four-poster Honduran Mahogany bed from the estate of General Boyd in Virginia, who was a spy for George Washington and pursued the French and opponents of the Native American Indians. Thus, this accommodation was dubbed, “The Boyd Room.” Though the original bed has since been replaced with a finely hand-carved headboard, the room retains its historical resonance.
This Maryland accommodation features a king-sized feather bed, modern walk-in shower, and a wood-burning fireplace adding warmth to tranquil evenings. Overlooking the garden, it provides a serene view, complementing the peaceful ambiance.
