Ambrose Powell Hill (1825-1865) was a career officer and general in the Confederate Army during the Civil War. After Stonewall Jackson's death in May 1863, he was promoted to lieutenant general and command 3rd Corps of Lee's Army that led the Gettysburg Campaign.
