For over thirty years, we’ve been embellishing Antrim 1844 with a vibrant array of Christmas decorations. Our cherished guests eagerly anticipate the transformation of our estate during the week following Thanksgiving, as owner, Dort Mollett, along with family and friends, decorate Antrim 1844 with live greenery, blossoms, and antique ornaments that accentuate the estate’s architectural beauty. Dozens of nutcrackers find their place in our Mansion, while kissing balls, and miles of ribbons and glorious bows add to the festive allure. Even the Garden Fountains are adorned with greens and bows. Notably, the Formal Dining Room features unique and highly detailed wreaths by Betty Spilman for all to see. There are seven hand-made dollhouse vignette wreaths depicting “The Night Before Christmas” at Antrim so guests can enjoy viewing them.
The North and South Drawing Rooms are graced with a pair of two matching 14-foot trees from Sewell’s Farm in Taneytown, MD, which are delivered by Santa’s elves. These trees are meticulously decorated with hundreds of red and gold ornaments, complemented by thousands of twinkling holiday lights, weaving Christmas magic throughout the estate. In our grand entrance hallway, fragrant live flowers and poinsettias, along with fresh evergreen garlands adorning the cantilever staircase, infuse the estate with a welcoming and heartwarming aroma, setting the stage for the season of giving.
Christmas at Antrim 1844 extends throughout the estate, with Santa nestled in a festive sleigh in front of the Mansion and our Pavilion adorned with wreaths, candles, and its own beautifully decorated trees. Whether you’re staying with us, dining at The Smokehouse Restaurant, or attending one of our exceptional events, be sure to partake in our delightful holiday cocktails, Santa’s Wine selection, and our special “Give a Gift, Get a Gift” promotion. Immerse yourself in the spirit of the season by joining us for our 3-course Christmas Lunch. We look forward to seeing you this holiday season!
