Attire for dinner is business casual. A jacket is recommended, but not required. Please no jeans or t-shirts.
Do you have to be an overnight guest to dine in the Smokehouse Restaurant? . . .
No, the restuarant is open daily to both overnight and outside guests. However, we do provide consideration to overnight guests and set aside a certain number of tables for those guests per evening to ensure availability. Reservations are required and advance reservations are recommended.
Do I need a reservation to dine in the Smokehouse Restaurant? . . .
Yes, reservations are required for the Smokehouse Restaurant at Antrim 1844. We strongly recommend placing your reservation as early as possible. Click here to submit an availability request.
What is the difference between time to be seated for dinner and hors d'oeuvres start time? . . .
Hand-passed hors d'oeuvres will begin a half hour before you are seated for dinner. When making your reservation, your reservation is made based upon the time your hors d'oeuvres will begin. If your reservation is for 7 PM, your hors d'oeuvres will begin at 7 PM and you will be seated for dinner at 7:30 PM.
What are the available times for dinner each evening? . . .
Dinner times typically are 6:30 PM, 7 PM, and/or 7:30 PM and vary each day. On special holidays, such as Mother's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Eve dinner times are much earlier and start at 1:30 PM, 2 PM, and/or 2:30 PM.
Does the menu change daily? Is there a way for me to view it prior to arrival? . . .
Yes, the menu is prepared daily based upon fresh local ingredients and dietary restrictions for the day. A sample menu is available here. Filet mignon, a fish option and vegetarian option are always available. Options change seasonally. Please call our Front Desk (410.756.6812) for more information.

We can accommodate most dietary restrictions. When making your reservation, please mention any restrictions you may have to help us provide the best dining experience possible. Our menu is vegetarian friendly.
I know very little about wine. Will there be someone there to assist me? Is there an option for wine pairing available? . . .
Our staff is well educated and can assist you with a wine suitable for your courses for the evening. We also provide an optional wine pairing during dinner with a five-course pairing for $50 per person and a three-course pairing for $30 per person.
Are children welcome? . . .
Yes, and we have menu options available for children. We do ask that children are properly supervised and behave accordingly. Please be sure to mention any children who will be joining us when making your reservation.
Does the Smokehouse Restaurant have an al-a-carte menu? What does prix-fixe mean? Are there choices on the menu? What can I expect to see on my menu for the evening? . . .
Prix-fixe means 'several courses served at a fixed price.' While we do not have an al-a-carte menu, there are choices within the set menu. You will have a choice of an appetizer, soup or salad, and entree. The other courses are selected by the chef and change daily.
Is food available for purchase at the Pickwick Pub? . . .
No, but the Pickwick Pub at Antrim 1844 is home to some of the finest cognacs and whiskeys in the world and is opened daily to the public at 2:30 PM.
Can I make reservations for dinner online? . . .
No, but you can submit a request for availability here.
Is there a rental fee to dine in the cellar? . . .
No, but we do require a wine purchase minimum of $400. This could be a bottle of wine off our extensive wine list or at least 8 five-course wine pairings at $50 per person. If you do not meet the requirement at the end of the evening, you can purchase bottle of wine to take home with you.
