Originally a small utilitarian barn and equipment shed built behind the Birnie House, it was converted to guest suites named after the Annan sisters, Elizabeth and Amelia, nieces of the Birnies. 

The Amelia Suite

Named for Amelia Harry Annan (1883-1973), Elizabeth's sister, who also lived at the Birnie House.

The Elizabeth Suite

Named after Elizabeth Annan (1884-1980), who was a descendant of the Birnie family and resided at the Birnie House. She was a teacher in Taneytown who also served on a number of historical committees and community events.
